Freedom by Design at the University of Minnesota, as part of the American Institute of Architecture Students, is an interdisciplinary design team that translates ideas into action. We believe that design can create radical change within a community and that students have the ability to design with communities to accomplish this change. Freedom by Design provides hands-on experience and opportunities for design students to collaborate with communities to build them up while unbuilding existing social-cultural adversities.
